Above and beyond

My friend was delighted to receive the Celebrating Women in Fiction 2 bargain box today, along with a copy of The Bad Ass Librarians of Timbuktu(she is a retired librarian and I am still one). She argued with her country Post Office insisting that she hadn’t ordered anything. She opened the box tentatively in case she had to return it and found the card you had included from me.
Thank you for going to the extra trouble of using an actual card, I had imagined a quick scrawl on a piece of A4 paper, your thoughtfulness was appreciated by both of us. The wonderful assortment books will be a great distraction during some very lengthy, weekly medical procedures for many months to come.
It is a pleasure being your customer.
