Surprise me! This is the Book Box you've heard so much about. Book Grocer's Mystery Book Box is our bestselling Book Box. This box contains 25 books selected from our full range, including both fiction and non-fiction, across a broad range of categories.
The fiction titles could include crime fiction, literature, romance and/or other fiction genres, and the non-fiction selection will also cover a range of categories (but not Children's or YA).
***NB. We can't guarantee that the box will be half fiction, half non-fiction - you might end up with 1/3 fiction, 2/3 non-fiction - a lot depends on what we have in stock at the moment. If you really love fiction, we recommend one of our Fiction Bargain Boxes instead.

I love the mystery bargain box, I received lots of varying books (including a colouring book, a recipe book, and lots of fiction and non-fiction). I think it’s a great concept, whenever I finish a series I feel a little stuck with what to read next, now I have 25 books to choose from. I’m hoping these books will help me in discovering new authors and categories which I enjoy, to assist me with further reading in the future.
The first 3 books I pulled out of the box didn't fill me with confidence. An American baking recipe book (measurements, ingredients and palate n/a to an Australian), a comic style colouring in book (I'm not a fan of the activity but even if I was, that's not for reading so I'm not sure why it would be included) and a fitness/exercise regime book (who uses books for those??). But I was pleasantly surprised to find the rest was a pretty even blend of fiction and non fiction, a couple of which had been on my to-read list for a why. I'd happily get the box again.

I bought two of these mystery boxes for family members as Christmas gifts. They had some really cute notepads/diaries along with a really wide spread genre of books. It’s exciting going through then finding new books to try out that you wouldn’t normally read.
Delivered as advertised, arrived on time with 30 books in excellent condition.
