Antony Wild has a tea heritage. His great-uncle founded the famous Betty's Cafe Tearooms in Yorkshire and he worked as buying director for its sister company, Taylor's of Harrogate. He has travelled to many tea-producing countries, and has written extensively on the subject.

Author Carol Pastor is a writer, consultant and stylist with a specialist interest in patisserie, baking cakes and pastry. She develops and writes recipes for Whitworths sugar, as well as contributing to magazines such as Inspirations, Homes and Gardens, House and Garden, and Nouveau. She is the author of Simply Home Baking (New Holland), and Pastry Magic and Food Magic (both Cassell).
