It is based on the true story of John Graham, a British convict who was transported to Australia in 1824 for stealing a watch. The novel follows his adventures and hardships in the harsh Australian landscape, as well as his encounters with the Aboriginal people and the notorious Eliza Fraser. The novel is illustrated with wood engravings by the author. The book has 129 pages and was published by A.S. Barnes & Company in New York as the first US edition. Additional remarks: Previous owner's stamp to top edge. Dampstains on DJ. Grey cloth with gilt design and lettering.
