Author: Reverend Dr John Wilson

Format: Paperback

Number of Pages: 336

In 1981 John Wilson founded the Razzie Awards, which recognised the worst movies of the year. With categories such as Worst Picture and Worst Director, the Razzies were a humorous antidote to Hollywood's four-hour extravaganza of self-importance. The ceremony was held in Wilson's living room with a cardboard podium to announce the 'winning' films. Wilson later sent out a press release which was picked up by the L.A. Daily News and ran with the headline 'And The Winners Aren't'. The Razzie Awards were officially launched. Now, 25 years later, the Razzie Awards are a worldwide phenomenon, covered annually by hundreds of newspapers, magazines, radio stations and television programmes around the globe. This unique and hilarious guide, written by the organisation's founder, will give the lowdown on the 100 most enjoyably bad films in Hollywood history, ranging from recent stinkers like Mariah Carey's Glitter and Britney Spears' Crossroads to classic bombshells Barbarella and Valley of the Dolls.
