Email us at secondhand@bookgrocer.com with the following details:
- your postcode of residence
- an estimate of the approximate number of books.
- photographs of all the books you are selling (spine out is fine).
Providing photographs of all your books you are selling with the approximate number of books in your first e-mail will allow us to give you an accurate and quick quote.
We'll review them and send through a conditional offer if we are interested in your books.
Depending on your location, we may be able to offer a pickup service. This may incur an extra fee and reduce our final offer to you.
Otherwise, all books must be dropped off at one our VIC store locations.
Our secondhand team assesses each book based on condition, demand, and our current stock levels. We’ll provide an offer once we’ve reviewed your submission.
Yes, of course! We would be happy to accept book donations.
We process payments via bank transfer once we have received and inspected your books at our warehouse.
Please note that if you drop off your books at one of our stores, it will take a couple days to move them to our warehouse.
Payments are made once a week (generally Thursdays or Fridays).
Generally, if we make you an offer, it will be for the entire batch of books you wish to sell. That means if you accept our offer, you won’t still have some books that you have to find a home for.
You’re welcome to sell more books at any time. Just email us with photos of your books to get the process started again.
Please reach out to our team at secondhand@bookgrocer.com and we would be happy to assist with scheduling regular pick ups for you.
