Shipping policy

We offer Flat Rate Shipping on all orders in Australia. We also offer FREE in-store pickup at any of our Book Grocer stores around Australia.

If you would like to ship items to more than one address, please place separate orders for these items. 

We charge in the currency of your location. 

Shipping times - Australia:  We process orders within 1-2 business days and ship with either Australia Post or Direct Freight. You can expect your items within 4-5 days outside peak (Christmas) season. 

Express Post/Courier orders need to be placed before 10:00am (AEST) any orders after this time will be shipped the next business day.

Shipping times - New Zealand: We now ship all NZ orders via Australia Post. Orders take approximately 5-10 business days to arrive.

Rest of the World: As of September 2024, we also ship to the US, UK, EU, Canada and Singapore. Shipping internationally is a flat rate for orders weighing up to 2kg (usually up to 3 books), or a higher rate if your order contains one of our Book Boxes. We are working on bringing more accurate weights to the website so that we can give the correct shipping rates at the time your order is placed. Your shipping rate will show at checkout.

In-Store Pickup

We offer free instore pickup from any of our Book Grocer stores.  We deliver customer orders to our Melbourne stores on a weekly basis so whether you select Bourke, Spencer or Northcote, your order will take up to 1 week to arrive in store.

Your chosen store will get in touch with you by email or SMS to let you know when your order has arrived.  

Picking up from our Tullamarine Warehouse? Your order will be ready the next business day.

* Payment must be received at the time of purchase, before we can transfer your order to a store.

** In-Store Pickup orders will be refunded and restocked after 60 days if your order is not collected and we have not been able to contact you.
