Melbourne, Australia – July 2026 – Australian family-owned bookstore Book Grocer has officially launched its highly anticipated Book Advent Calendar 2026 collection.
Since 2021, Book Grocer has been offering book lovers around the world a unique way to count down to Christmas with books. With demand growing every year, production for the 2026 collection began back in January. This year's range features 11 Book Advent Calendars designed for a variety of readers and age groups, spanning fiction, romance, fantasy, children's books and other popular categories.
"Book Advent Calendars have become one of our most anticipated products each year," said Jen, owner of Book Grocer.
Unlike traditional Advent Calendars filled with chocolates or sample-sized beauty products, Book Grocer's Book Advent Calendars include 24 individually wrapped, full-sized books. With a mix of hardcovers and paperbacks, each book works out to be under $8, making them exceptional value for readers and gift-givers alike.
Customers have praised the variety and value. Carly, who purchased a Book Advent Calendar in 2022, said: “For less than $10 a book you receive a mixture of genres and topics, including cult classics and recent releases, many of which would retail for over $30 each. It ended up being brought out at parties throughout December and friends loved unwrapping the beautifully wrapped books too. I highly recommend it!” said Nicky.
Others have highlighted the appeal of sharing the experience with family and friends. “This is the second year I've bought one of these boxes. Last year I got one for my brother and this year I got one for the whole family to share. Great selection of books so far,” said Elaine.
