One of the most frequently asked questions we get here at bookgrocer HQ is 'how does it all work?'. How can we supply the books so cheaply? Where do they come from?
The short answer is that the majority of the books we purchase are remainders. These are books which the publisher has decided to sell off at a discount to make space for new arrivals coming in to their warehouse. There's nothing wrong with the books, although there's definitely an art to selecting the right ones to purchase.
We buy in bulk from publishers and remainder wholesalers both here and abroad. We assemble the boxes in our warehouse in Tullamarine in Victoria and ship out to happy customers across Australia every day.
