The Memoirs of General Grivas is a book written by George Grivas-Dighenis, the leader of the Greek Cypriot guerrilla organisation EOKA, which fought for the union of Cyprus with Greece. The book was edited by Charles Foley, a British journalist who interviewed Grivas in 1964. It was published by Frederick A. Praeger in 1965 and has 226 pages. The book covers GrivasÕ life and career, from his early years in Cyprus and Greece, to his involvement in the Greek resistance during World War II, to his role in the Cyprus conflict from 1955 to 1959 and from 1963 to 1964. The book also reveals GrivasÕ views on politics, religion, nationalism and warfare.
