My Reminiscences of East Africa is a memoir by General Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck, a German military leader who commanded the German East Africa campaign during World War I. He recounts his experiences of fighting against British forces in a guerrilla warfare that lasted four years and spanned four countries. He also describes his personal life, his views on colonialism and nationalism, and his admiration for his African soldiers. The book was first published in 1920 by Hurst and Blackett in London and has 312 pages. With portrait, 22 maps and sketch-maps and 13 drawings. Additional remarks: Spine held together by tape. Original black cloth with light scruffings and stains. Loose binding. Mild bumping to corners and edges. E.A.E.F. poem glued to pastedown: "You Will Not Conform To The Enemy's Movement". Heavy writing on endpapers. Marking and annotations with grey lead inside. Overall, remains a good copy for age.
