The Second Saladin is a novel by Stephen Hunter, published by Collins in 1983 (First UK Edition). It is the first book in the Earl Swagger series, which features the father of Hunter's main character, Bob Lee Swagger. The novel is set in 1951, during the Korean War. Earl Swagger is a Marine sniper who is recruited by the CIA to assassinate a Kurdish rebel leader known as the Second Saladin. The book has 416 pages. Red cloth with gilt lettering to spine.
