The A.I.F in France 1916 is the third volume of a twelve-volume official history of the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F) in World War I, written by C. E. W. Bean, the official war correspondent and historian. It was published by the University of Queensland Press in association with the Australian War Memorial in 1982. It covers the first year of the A.I.FÕs involvement in the Western Front, from their arrival in France in March 1916, to their participation in the battles of Fromelles, Pozi�res, Mouquet Farm, and Flers. The book contains 1036 pages and includes maps, photographs, and appendices.
