FOREWORD BY TIM COSTELLO Hoa Van Stone was left as a baby in a Vietnamese orphanage. In 1975 eight years old, stricken with polio, malnourished and diseased, he came to Australia as part of Operation Babylift just before the fall of Saigon. After months of waiting he was adopted by the Stone family. At last he had a family where he belonged. Even then life was difficult. A year later, his beloved brother Philip died from asthma, and as Hoa grew older, the simmering past threatened to erupt like a volcano. He dulled the anger and pain with drugs and alcohol until finally, seduced by Miss Heroin, he spiralled into dealing and addiction. But God had other ideas.
