In June 2016 Hugh Pilsworth left Melbourne on board his Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49 BlueFlyer to embark on a world circumnavigation. Over a two-year period he was to visit more than 30 countries and islands and cover 30,000 sea miles.Hugh's journey was neither a non-stop voyage nor a solo one, but rather a series of shorter trips taken with friends or acquaintances on board as crew members, changing over at mutually agreed times and places. This book is the outcome of his travels. It includes the story of how Hugh purchased BlueFlyer and equipped the vessel with extras, some of which were successful and some of which weren't so successful, a bit like the journey itself. It is also the story of a man during a period of self-discovery following the death of his wife. It is however not a story of hardship and suffering, nor of misadventures or mishaps. Instead it is a voyage of exploration, of new experiences, of meeting new people and of enjoying the moment even when not everything goes to plan.
