Following "Storybook Favourites in Cross Stitch", this is a second volume of cross-stitch designs based on children's favourite book characters. It contains designs to mark a baby's arrival, a toddler's birthday or a young child's achievement. It includes classic designs such as Thomas the Tank Engine, Noddy, and the Velveteen Rabbit, as well as newer characters such as Elmer the Elephant, Maisy the Mouse, and Postman Pat. Designs for Angela Ballerina and Beatrix Potter's world are also included. Once again, there are ideas and instructions for making each design into a finished product. All finished items are photographed and each design is charted and accompanied by a key to DMC threads. The book also contains background information for each of the characters, accompanied by line drawings.
