Find out each animal's name, scientific name, natural habitat, and more! Seagrass Dreams features gorgeous illustrations, adding a colourful and engaging element to this delightful book. Seagrass Dreams closes with a list of the common species of seagrass, their scientific names, and where each can be found.
Kathleen Hanes received her Ph.D in Marine Biology from the University of Florida; part of her research was conducted in the Bahamas, where she spent 18 months clipping seagrass - in turtle-sized bites - to see what effect reintroducing sea turtles into an area would have upon the ecosystem there. She currently teaches high school AP Environmental Science and lives in St. Louis with her family and two cats, Jack and Annie.
