The 20 projects are suitable for all levels and there are four matching purse designs that can be adapted to any bag. Patterns and seam allowances are also included. Patterns for all the bags are included and all have seam allowances added already so that the book is not just inspirational, it's practical too, providing everything you need to know to take your bag from being a beautiful idea to a finished item. The bags are made from easily acquired materials using straightforward techniques and come in a range of beautiful shapes that give them a really stunning and unique look. AUTHOR: Emma Brennan trained as a broadcast journalist and worked for the BBC and independent radio, as a newsreader, researcher and reporter. She has written features for both newspapers and magazines on everything from current news to health issues, and of course fashion! In 1992, alongside freelance writing, she started her own business, Charlie's Aunt, designing and producing handmade 'vintage inspired' clothing and hats. She is a qualified further education tutor and has taught courses in handbag, accessory and jewellery design. She has also staged fashion shows and given lectures on the historical influences of her designs. She lives in Australia. Also available from the author: 978-1-86108-453-8, Making Vintage Jewellery
