A beautifully illustrated book in full colour that consists of a series of encounters representing a reimagining and elaboration of the back story behind well known scripture verses. Each meeting is revealing of the nature of the relationship that Jesus builds with the individuals involved, tapping into the emotions and revelations that take place in their hearts. The series of encounters commence with a Shepherdess in Bethlehem and follow through the many characters such as Simeon in the temple, John the Baptist at the Jordan and on through until the final encounter with the disciples on the Road to Emmaus. The result is an often moving account of the relationships that are developed with Jesus as a man, but also revealing of the love that the Father has for each individual. Each encounter gently teaches us about the nature of God's Kingdom here on earth and the nature of man, while drawing us closer to the revelations of Jesus.
