Edition: reprint

Condition remarks:
Condition: (Fragile) Fair to Good; consistent with a wartime pamphlet of this age, shows honest wear but remains complete and legible. Jacket: N/A - shows edge wear, soiling, and a few small chips/tears, particularly along the spine fold and corners. Page Condition: Pages are age-toned/foxed; There's a vertical crease running through the book, consistent with handling. Markings: rubber-stamped inscriptions on cover - appears to be a presentation-type note ( ANZAC'S Welcome... with the Author's Compliments"). Note - copies were given out to visiting American naval personnel (the "American Fleet"), possibly the 1925 U.S. Fleet visit to Australia.

"Fragments from Gallipoli and France" presents a soldier's firsthand wartime memoir, in which returned ANZAC V. Pretty chronicles his experiences in the Gallipoli campaign and on the Western Front in France, detailing the realities of trench warfare, the camaraderie among soldiers, and the human cost of the First World War from the perspective of an ordinary Australian serviceman.
