A chilling exploration of corporate paranoia and the erosion of privacy. Henry Haddock, an unattached and well-liked man, is suddenly catapulted into the presidency of an electronics firm specializing in surveillance. However, he soon becomes convinced that he is the victim of the very "corporate big brotherhood" he now leads. He feels he is being watched everywhere and at all times, a suspicion that grows into a complete symptomology of paranoia. As Haddock attempts to navigate his new role, he finds that his public function is slowly subsuming his entire identity. Mr. Nicholas serves as a dark allegory for a modern world where personal rights are sacrificed to the pressures of the many and the technological gaze of the elite.
