"My painting does not respond to a program, and is not based on similarities. I seek the individuality of things, even if they are apparently similar. My work tends towards a permanent destruction of the identical, it is a quest for what is vital and subjective, of the unpredictably unique. In other words, the dazzling representation of the fleeting moment, hidden in the eternal moment. Things are food. Painting silences them so that they can better express their norms. Silence, synonymous with space, a place where forgotten things find a place, where mute things survive. I am neither a collector of realities nor a dreamer in search of ideals. I would say that my painting is a simple totalizing look at the real and the visible, and, at the same time, a vital reflection on the invisible." Jorge Castillo (DJ Blurb) Language: French.
