This volume contains 150 short cases for the MRCS examination, each presented in a standard format and grouped into one of the four sections of the clinical exam. The MRCS is a relatively new examination which has now completely replaced the FRCS or FRCS(Ed). It splits the examination into four separate sections (compared with two - just called "Part 1" and "Part 2" previously): core modules (multiple-choice questions); system modules (multiple-choice questions); clinical examination; and viva voce. This book concentrates solely on the clinical examination. It is laid out in identical sections to the new examination, separated into "bays" of cases candidates can expect to be examined on. The approach simulates the exam itself, walking the candidate through the exam. Cases are described under specific headings, including: instruction; approach; action; completion; summary; discussion; advanced questions; name check; top tip; references; and website links.
