Life Sentence: An intriguing new case for Camden forensic sleuth [...]
Mortuary technician Cassie Raven believes the last thoughts of the dead linger like static in the air...
Cassie has always had a strange affinity with death, ever since her parents were killed in a car crash when she was four. At least that's what she grew up believing...

To find the truth, she must turn detective. As she seeks answers, help is to be found in inexplicable places - for the dead are ready to talk.
A K Turner's latest foray into crime fiction is Body Language, the first in a new series which has been described as a fresh take on the forensic pathology genre. The heroine is crime-solving goth-girl mortuary technician Cassie Raven, who originally appeared in two crime shorts on BBC Radio 4.
A K previously wrote under the pen name Anya Lipska and her debut trilogy featuring a Polish tough guy/fixer to London's Poles led to her appearing on the Festival's New Blood panel. Ali also produces TV documentaries telling stories drawn from the worlds of science, archaeology, and true crime.
