In June 1989 Margi Moss and her husband took off from Rio de Janeiro in a single-engined aeroplane to embark on a journey around the world. In a haphazard route, chosen entirely at whim, they flew up the Brazilian coast, across the Atlantic to the Cape Verde Islands and then Africa. They clocked up 120,000 kilometres and visited 50 countries in a period of 32 months. Their trip included the first-ever crossing from Australia to South America in a single-engined plane. This book is essentially a travelogue based on the diary kept by the Mosses during their journey - a diary originally intended to be shared only with their family and friends.
