Zoe and Zack: Numbers
Zoe and Zack are best friends. They do everything together! In this latest title of the Zoe and Zack series of concept books, the two pals show that counting is as fun and easy as 1, 2, 3! While Zack juggles colourful balls with his feet or tries to balance them on his head, Zoe makes the numbers with her body. Each ball has a grainy varnish, which reinforces the learning experience by allowing children to count by touch as well. They can also easily identify numbers using the tabbed pages. What's more, on each spread are illustrations showing what each number looks like on dice and when counting with fingers.
Jacques Duquennoy was born in the town of Corbie in northern France. He studied art before first becoming a sales representative selling educational materials, then an editor, and later a teacher. In 1994, he published Le Diner Fantome (The Ghost's Dinner, originally published by Albin Michel, published in the US by Golden Books) and became a full-time children's author. He lives in Amiens, France.
