Still Life

I bought three copies because I had read Still Life from a library copy, and liked it so much that I recommended it to my book club. I bought the copies to make sure most people had a chance to read it before our discussion (and that did happen because they passed them to each other after they finished).

It is a heart-warming book, with a range of interesting characters who gradually come to life as the book progresses, and whose lives intertwine in unexpected ways. A satisfying ending, and the setting, Florence, is so vivid I am now determined to visit Florence one day.
