More correctly "Henry VIII Sort of Revealed"

Although well illustrated with interesting and informative captions the body of the text was too discursive and rambling. The level of detail is impressive but, for example, lingering on the barely discernible differences in the underdrawings Henry VIII's knuckles in the various portraits is something of a passion killer. Not a bad read but it falls somewhere between being a scholarly, scientific analysis and a popular art book without being either.
